This blog is all about papers. How effectively we can reclycle papers into beautiful greeting cards, flowers, small tables etc.In my art work I have mostly used those papers which we get in shopping bags, gift wraps, magazines, etc. Very few of the papers I have actually bought. Just using little imagination and little web surfing gives us lot of ideas. You can try them at home and help your kids to learn lot of creative art. Feel free to post your valuable comments.
Hi...this is so cool! Do you think you could share how to make this handmade topor with me? My son's annaprashan is scheduled for next month and I have been racking my brains on how to get a topor :(

Hi Sucharita,
ReplyDeleteThanks,
It is super easy......go to YouTube and learn little basic quilling of paper. Or otherwise here are the steps...
1. Make a cone with any thick white paper or card paper. I made the cone by folding a big calendar paper.
2. Cut long strips of white papers 0.5cm width and around 12cm long. Roll them up using fingers or a screw driver. Stick them with glue. ( I have used the papers used for printing)
3. You can make different shapes as per your design. I would say again check you tube you will not get topor but you will get an idea how to do quilling.
4. For the balls..I made small paper balls and on that I glued the quilled paper strips, then sewed them together.
Hope this will help. Also while making the cone, make sure the open circumference is as per your son's head
